L-tert-Leucine Methyl Ester is an inhibitor of the enzyme leucine methyltransferase. It is a histidine derivative that has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of L-leucine and other amino acids in vitro. L-tert-Leucine Methyl Ester can also inhibit HIV infection by binding to CD4+ cells and inducing cell lysis.
