Description :
3-Phenyl-2-tosyl-1,2-oxaziridine is a carbocycle that has been shown to be stable in the presence of oxygen and water. The compound is a synthon for the synthesis of β-unsaturated aldehydes and has been used as a reagent to generate reactive reaction products. 3-Phenyl-2-tosyl-1,2-oxaziridine has been shown to react with diphenyl ethers to produce heterocycles. It also reacts with human lung tissue and can cause lung carcinoma cells to proliferate in vitro.
