Description :
2-Methoxy-2-(1-naphthyl)propionic Acid is a chiral compound with two stereocenters. It is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in methanol and ethyl acetate. 2-Methoxy-2-(1-naphthyl)propionic Acid has been shown to be an acid catalyst, forming the corresponding amide, hydrogen bond and methoxy groups in the process. This reaction product also has steric interactions with phenyl groups and conformational properties. 2-Methoxy-2-(1-naphthyl)propionic Acid has been synthesized by chemists using chromatographic techniques, molecular modeling, and crystallography.
