Description

2'-Deoxycytidine-3'-monophosphate free acid is a nucleotide that is synthesized from deoxyadenosine triphosphate and deoxycytidine triphosphate in the presence of ribonucleotide reductase. It is the precursor to DNA synthesis, where it is converted to dCTP by thymidylate synthase. 2'-Deoxycytidine-3'-monophosphate free acid has low energy and vibrational levels, due to its glycosidic bond. This bond can be broken by chromatographic methods.
