Description

2',3'-O-Isopropylideneinosine is a chemical compound that is used as an antiviral agent. It inhibits viral replication by preventing the incorporation of uridine into the viral genome, which is required for DNA synthesis. 2',3'-O-Isopropylideneinosine binds to guanosine and prevents it from being converted to uridine, which is then incorporated into DNA synthesis. This compound also has antibacterial properties and can be used in the treatment of tuberculosis and other diseases caused by bacteria. 2',3'-O-Isopropylideneinosine also contains anticancer properties due to its ability to inhibit cell division.
