2'-C-Methylguanosine 5'-monophosphate triethyl ammonium salt (2'-C-MeGMP) is a nucleoside that can be used as an antiviral agent, anticancer agent, and as a novel phosphoramidite for DNA synthesis. 2'-C-MeGMP can inhibit the synthesis of viral RNA by inhibiting the activity of reverse transcriptase. It also inhibits mitosis in cultured cells and has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in vivo. This compound is a precursor to 2'-deoxycytidine 5'-triphosphate (dCTP), which is an activated form of dCTP that can be used for DNA synthesis. The purity of this product exceeds 98% and has been modified so it does not react with other nucleotides during reaction with DNA polymerase.
