Description

2',3',5'-Tri-O-acetylguanosine is a purine derivative that is found in the human mitochondrial DNA. It has been shown to have chemotactic activity for human neutrophils and to inhibit the growth of bacteria such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This compound also has an effect on atrial contractility, which may be due to its ability to inhibit creatine kinase. 2',3',5'-Tri-O-acetylguanosine is chemically reactive with hydroxyl groups, forming hydrogen bonds in the process. The chemical properties of this compound make it suitable for use in cell culture, as it can be used for attachment and release of cells from surfaces.
