Description :Xanthosine dihydrate is a crystalline polymorph of xanthosine. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in animal models and also inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and nitric oxide. Xanthosine dihydrate binds to benzimidazole compounds and caffeine, which are involved in the inflammatory process. This drug also inhibits the production of nitric oxide and prostaglandins by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes. Xanthosine dihydrate is a solute that can be used in cell culture experiments to study how cells respond to different concentrations of it.
