Description

9β-Hydroxydarutigenol is a diterpene that has been shown to show anti-inflammatory and cytotoxic effects in vitro. This compound binds to the COX enzyme, which is involved in the production of prostaglandins, leading to the inhibition of inflammatory reactions. 9β-Hydroxydarutigenol has also been shown to inhibit contractility and cell proliferation in vitro. 9β-Hydroxydarutigenol's biological properties have been studied using cancer cell lines and animal models for inflammatory diseases. In addition, this molecule has shown activity against a wide range of cancers including breast, prostate, lung, colon, ovary, cervix, brain stem glioma, leukemia and lymphoma.
