Isorhamnetin-3-O-robinobioside is a flavonol glycoside that belongs to the genus Myricae. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of PTP1B, which plays an important role in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism. Isorhamnetin-3-O-robinobioside also inhibits genotoxic activity in caco2 cells. The structural analysis of this compound revealed that it contains a hydroxyl group with a methyl group attached to its 3' position. The chemical structures of this compound are very similar to those found in myelogenous leukemia cells. Isorhamnetin-3-O-robinobioside has been shown to have cancer inhibiting properties, as seen through its ability to inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells in mice and human leukemia cells in vitro.
