Description

Dibromobis(triphenylphosphine)nickel(II) is a coordination complex. It has been shown to undergo hydrolysis and ring-opening, and to form metal halides by reacting with halide compounds, such as bromides and chlorides. Dibromobis(triphenylphosphine)nickel(II) has been used in the synthesis of polymers and carbon tetrachloride. The compound is also used in the preparation of acrylonitrile, which is an important raw material for the production of synthetic fibres.
