Informations sur le produit
- 4-Methoxybenzoyl Cyanide
4-Methoxy-phenyl)-oxo-acetonitrile is an activated form of acetonitrile that can be used as a potential precursor for the synthesis of β-unsaturated ketones. It is synthesised by the Wittig reaction with acetylacetonate, which is then converted to malonate by treatment with base. The malonate is converted to mandelonitrile by treatment with cyanides. This compound can also be obtained from benzoic acid and cyanide. 4-Methoxy-phenyl)-oxo-acetonitrile has an anion radical (C≡N) and can act as a source of cyanide ions in organic synthesis.
