Description :
6-Propoxybenzothiazol-2-ylamine is a nematocide that inhibits the ATPase activity of an enzyme found in the plasma membrane of nematodes. This compound has been shown to be effective against rat liver and gastrointestinal nematodes. 6-Propoxybenzothiazol-2-ylamine has been shown to have a high degree of reactivity with benzothiazole, which is found in the reactive group on the molecule. The substitutable groups on this molecule are methoxy, hydroxy, and nitro. 6-Propoxybenzothiazol-2-ylamine may be homogenized with other compounds such as sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide.
