Informations sur le produit
4-Phenyl-2-(2-pyridyl)thiazole is a fluorescent compound that is used as a sensor of oxygen. It has been used to measure the concentration of oxygen in an environment, and can also be used to measure the rate of oxygen consumption. 4-Phenyl-2-(2-pyridyl)thiazole has an excitation wavelength of 320 nm, which makes it useful as an intramolecular fluorescent sensor for applications such as DNA sequencing and protein sequencing. This compound is also a ligand for some metal ions, including copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), and nickel (Ni). 4-Phenyl-2-(2-pyridyl)thiazole emits fluorescence with an emission maximum at 521 nm when excited with light at 350 nm. The rate of fluorescence emission depends on the conformation and fluorescence lifetime of the molecule.
