Description

Methyl 6(E)-Octadecenoate is a fatty acid that has been shown to have anticancer activity in colorectal carcinoma cells. It is also used as a raw material for the production of biodiesel and oxygenated fatty esters. Methyl 6(E)-Octadecenoate can be found as an aliphatic hydrocarbon or as a fatty acid methyl myristate, fatty alcohols, or other esters. It is a polymorphic compound with viscosity values that vary from 0.5 to 2.4 mPa·s at 20°C.
