Informations sur le produit
2-Amino-4-methylthiophene-3-carboxylic acid is a potent inhibitor of the viral protease of human cytomegalovirus. It is synthesised from oxazinone and hydroxylamine. The inhibition of the viral protease by 2-amino-4-methylthiophene-3-carboxylic acid prevents the cleavage of host cell proteins, which are required for virus replication. 2-Amino-4-methylthiophene 3 carboxylic acid has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the cytomegalovirus protease in vitro and in vivo, but is not active against other viruses such as influenza.
