Description :
2-Chloromethyl-pyrazine is an alkylsulfonyl active substance that is used in horticultural applications as a pde5 inhibitor. It has been shown to have osteopenia activity and can be used for the treatment of this condition. 2-Chloromethyl-pyrazine is a stable complex with metal ions, which may make it an insecticide. 2-Chloromethyl-pyrazine also has nitrogen atoms that signify its amide structure. The hydroxy group on the compound's chlorine atom allows it to act as a halogeno compound. This halogeno compound also has redox potentials, which means it can act as a reducing agent in chemical reactions.
