4-(2,4-Dinitrophenyl)morpholine is a molecule that contains an aromatic ring. It has been shown to react with metals, such as copper and iron, by forming a complex with the metal. The reactivity of 4-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)morpholine can be seen in its ability to change color when reacted with metals. 4-(2,4-Dinitrophenyl)morpholine crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system and diffracts x-rays to produce a discernible pattern. Single-crystal x-ray diffraction has revealed that the molecule has a structural formula of C8H9N3O and is related to pyridine.
