It has been shown to be able to stabilize silver and palladium nanoparticles, which are usually unstable at high temperatures. N-Amyl-N-butylamine also has the ability to increase the rate of thermal decomposition of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films, which would make it an effective additive for fabricating conductive silver nanoparticles. N-Amyl-N-butylamine will be most effective when it is added incrementally and in small quantities.
