Description

1-(4-Iodo-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)propan-2-amine is a receptor agonist that has been shown to act on the 2-adrenergic receptors (2ARs). It activates these receptors by binding to them and causing a change in their shape. This changes the shape of the response element, which then binds to the transcription factor and initiates gene expression. 1-(4-Iodo-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)propan-2-amine has been shown to have neurotrophic effects in experimental models, leading to neuronal death. The drug also causes maternal blood pressure reduction and inhibition of 5HT synthesis.
1-(4-Iodo-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)propan-2-amine has been shown to bind with high affinity to 5HT receptors such as 5HT2A and 5HT2C but not 5HT1A. The drug also
