Informations sur le produit
1-Iodo-4-(methylsulfonyl)benzene is a positron emission probe that can be used for the measurement of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity. It is synthesized by reacting 1-iodobenzene with methylsulfonyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine. The positron emitted during this reaction is detected by a high resolution gamma camera, which allows the detection and quantification of COX-2 activity. This probe has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of COX-2 activity, and its use may provide an alternative method for monitoring COX-2 activity in vivo.
