Omega-Conotoxin GVIA is a peptide toxin that binds to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) and blocks its function. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of voltage-gated potassium channels, which are responsible for regulating the electrical activity in cells. Omega-conotoxin GVIA is purified with a high degree of purity and has been shown to have no significant cross-reactivity with other nAChR subtypes. This toxin can be used as a research tool to study nAChR physiology or as an antibody to target this receptor in cell biology experiments.
