Description :
Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that has antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used to treat acute pain and as an adjuvant therapy for the treatment of chronic arthritis. Ketoprofen has been shown to be effective in the treatment of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The mechanism of action of ketoprofen is not fully understood but it may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis or its ability to inhibit the enzyme cyclooxygenase.
