Informations sur le produit
6-Hydroxy buspirone-d8 is a metabolite of buspirone, an anti-anxiety drug. It has been shown to inhibit cytochrome P450 3A4 activity in human liver microsomes, which may have clinical implications for the use of this drug in humans. The metabolism of 6-hydroxy buspirone-d8 has not yet been investigated, but it is likely that it will be metabolized by CYP3A4 or CYP2C19. This compound is not likely to be a substrate for acylase or monoamine oxidase (MAO) and does not undergo direct glucuronidation or sulfation. Inhibitors of CYP3A4 and CYP2C19 are potential strategies for the development of 6-hydroxy buspirone-d8 as a chemical inhibitor. The plasma levels of 6-hydroxy buspirone were similar to those seen with therapeutic doses of buspirone, suggesting
