Description :
2-(2-Dimethylamino-ethoxy)-benzaldehyde is a tricyclic compound that has shown potent inhibitor activity against platelets. It has been identified as an analogue of the antiplatelet drug clopidogrel. 2-(2-Dimethylamino-ethoxy)-benzaldehyde inhibits the conversion of ADP into cyclic AMP, leading to the inhibition of platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. This compound also inhibits a number of other biological reactions, including the synthesis of pyrazine and hydrazide compounds.
