Description :
1-n-Butyl-4-chlorobenzene is an aryl halide that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and herbicides. The synthesis of this compound has been studied using cross-coupling reactions with other aryl halides. 1-n-Butyl-4-chlorobenzene has been shown to inhibit the metabolic activity of isolated liver cells, as well as cellular viability in vitro. A x-ray crystal structure has also been determined for 1-n-butyl 4 chlorobenzene in complex with 17β estradiol (17βE2).
