Informations sur le produit
- N-(2-Ethylphenyl)piperazine
- Piperazine, 1-(2-ethylphenyl)-
- Piperazine, 1-(o-ethylphenyl)-
1-(2-Ethylphenyl)piperazine is a synthetic, non-toxic chemical that has been used as an intermediate in the synthesis of drugs and other organic compounds. It is structurally similar to amphetamine and acts as an inhibitor of dopamine uptake. 1-(2-Ethylphenyl)piperazine can be synthesized by reacting aniline with ethylene glycol in the presence of hydrochloric acid. This reaction produces 1-(2-ethylphenyl)piperazine and water as a byproduct. The deprotection of 1-(2-ethylphenyl)piperazine can be accomplished through irradiation or microwave irradiation, which causes a ring opening reaction and leaves only one protecting group on the molecule.
