Description

MDL 72222 is a dopamine receptor antagonist that blocks the activation of the 5-HT3 receptor. The drug is used to study the function of this particular type of receptor, which has been implicated in a number of neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease and chronic pain. MDL 72222 has also been shown to have a potent effect on locomotor activity and 5-HT concentrations in animals, suggesting that it may be useful in treating depression.
