Informations sur le produit
2-Amino-N-methoxybenzamide is a potent inhibitor of human glioblastoma cells that acts as a covalent and irreversible inhibitor of the enzyme acetyl-CoA synthase. 2-Amino-N-methoxybenzamide inhibits the production of acetyl coenzyme A, which is required for fatty acid synthesis and energy production in cells. This inhibition leads to cell death by depriving the cells of energy. 2-Amino-N-methoxybenzamide has also been shown to inhibit the formation of reactive aldehydes, which are compounds that can cause damage to DNA and proteins in brain tissue. The mechanism by which 2-amino-N-methoxybenzamide exerts its effects on brain tumors may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis.
