4-Ethyl-4-methylmorpholinium Bromide is an ionic liquid that is used as a phase transfer catalyst. It has been shown to be an effective additive for pharmaceutical formulations. 4EMMB is chemically stable and exhibits high energy efficiency, which makes it an excellent choice for process optimization. This compound has also been shown to have good biological properties such as being non-toxic and nontoxic, making it suitable for use in chromatography applications. 4EMMB exhibits a viscosity of 3 cP at 20°C and a dielectric constant of 1.1 at 100kHz, making it suitable for flow systems and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. 4EMMB absorbs ultraviolet light at wavelengths between 240 nm and 300 nm, producing strong absorption peaks at 260 nm and 280 nm.
