PAF-AN-1 is a peptide that has been shown to activate ion channels. PAF-AN-1 is a potent inhibitor of the ion channel TRPM2 and has been shown to inhibit the interaction between TRPV4 and its ligand, menthol. PAF-AN-1 has also been shown to inhibit the activation of voltage gated potassium channels. This peptide can be used as a research tool for studying protein interactions and receptor signaling pathways.
