Description :
CeMMEC1 is a brominated compound that binds to the DNA-dependent RNA polymerase's active site, arresting transcription and replication. It also inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the ribosomal subunit. CeMMEC1 has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo and has also been shown to be effective as a prophylaxis against bacterial infection.
