Description

[1-(4-Fluorophenyl)-5-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]methanol is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H11FN. It has been found to be a potent inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) and may be an alternative treatment for high blood pressure. This potential drug is a substrate for film coating, it has been shown that this chemical reacts with metal chelates and polymeric matrices to form films with low bioavailability. The drug also had a significant effect on women in the study, lowering their blood pressure by an average of 10 mmHg. The study was done on only women and there was no control group of men.
