These side effects can be increased by alcohol and other CNS depressants such as antihistamines or tranquilizers. The reaction products are formed by refluxing 4-phenyl-1H-benzo[b][1,4]diazepin-2(3H)-one with chlorine and reacting the resultant chlorinated product with ammonia
