Description :
2,2,4-Trimethylhexane is a light-resistant compound that is used as a treatment for muscle tissue. It has been shown to be effective in preventing radiation-induced damage to the skin and tissues of the eye. 2,2,4-Trimethylhexane is an isomer of hexane that has been shown to have newtonian properties. The activation energy for its polymerization inhibitor activity was found to be 10.5 kcal/mol by solid phase microextraction and modelling techniques. Molecular modeling techniques were used to study the transport properties of this compound in gas and liquid phases.
