Description :
Dioctylmalonate is a polycarboxylic acid that can be used to synthesize nanoparticles. It has been reported to have optical properties and patterning capability. Dioctylmalonate is also known as an agent that can coat the surface of carbon nanotubes, which are then used in fabrication of silicon-based devices, such as solar cells or photodetectors. This compound has been shown to form metal chelate complexes with nitrogen atoms and fatty acids, which may be important for its binding properties.
