Description :
2,2',5,6'-Tetrachlorobiphenyl is a chlorinated aromatic compound that has been shown to have efficiencies in the range of 50-80% when used as a gastrointestinal absorbable marker. It is nonabsorbable and can be used for benchmarking purposes. 2,2',5,6'-Tetrachlorobiphenyl has also been shown to be effective as a biomarker for the detection of dietary exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). The recovery of 2,2',5,6'-tetrachlorobiphenyl in fecal samples ranges from 12-82%.
