- Lico-iso-flavanone
Licoisoflavanone is a bioactive phenolic compound that has been shown to have anti-cancer activity. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting the activation of fatty acid, which is an intracellular signaling molecule. Licoisoflavanone also inhibits skin cancer and cervical cancer by inhibiting the expression of growth factors such as epidermal growth factor (EGF). This compound has been shown to be effective in vitro, although there is no evidence that it can inhibit skin cancer or cervical cancer in vivo. The chemical diversity of this compound and its ability to inhibit prenylflavonoids are also noteworthy.
