Description

Zatebradine hydrochloride is a drug which is used to treat bowel disease. It belongs to the class of drugs known as beta-blockers. Zatebradine hydrochloride can be administered intravenously and has been shown to cause a decrease in heart rate and ventricular function in humans. It also has an effect on energy metabolism, cardiac effects, and structural heart disease. This drug has been found to be effective at treating congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation. Zatebradine hydrochloride also has anti-inflammatory properties that may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, TNFα, IL-8, and IFNγ.
