Informations sur le produit
Ethyl azetidine-2-carboxylate is an amino acid derivative that has been used as a reagent and silylating agent. It reacts with alkyl esters to produce amides and esters. Ethyl azetidine-2-carboxylate also reacts with aspartic acid to produce a conditionally stable intermediate that can be hydrolyzed to give the corresponding carboxylic acid, ethyl aspartate. This chemical compound has antibacterial properties and has been shown to inhibit the growth of Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Ethyl azetidine-2-carboxylate can also be used in the synthesis of monobactams, which are antibiotics that act by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis in Gram-negative bacteria.
