Informations sur le produit
(2R)-Octyl-±-hydroxyglutarate-d17 is a metabolite that is produced by the enzyme dehydrogenase in the citric acid cycle. Dehydrogenase is disrupted in cancer cells and this metabolite accumulates as a result of decreased production. This metabolite has been shown to induce cell death, inhibit DNA repair, and promote tumor growth. (2R)-Octyl-±-hydroxyglutarate-d17 may be a potential biomarker for identifying cancers and monitoring their progression. It has also been shown to induce hypermethylation in tumor xenografts, which may be an effective treatment option for some cancers.
