• Description: H-[Cys-Arg-Gly-Asp-Lys-Gly-Pro-Asp-Cys]-NH2 is a peptide that was originally isolated from the venom of the Brazilian spider, Phoneutria nigriventer. This peptide has been shown to have anti tumor activity in mice by targeting and binding to the tumor cells. H-[Cys-Arg-Gly-Asp-Lys-Gly-Pro-Asp-Cys]-NH2 is also a cell penetrating peptide (CPP) that can penetrate into the cell and disrupts cancer cell growth. It is also a disulfide rich peptide with RGD sequence which binds to integrins on the surface of tumor cells and induces apoptosis.
