• Description: Dihexylammonium acetate is a hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) stationary phase that is used for the separation of compounds that are hydrophilic in nature. It has been shown to react with oxygen at room temperature to produce dihydroxyacetone, which is used as a hydrogen acceptor in benzene oxidation. The hydroxyl group on this molecule can be determined by infrared spectroscopy or nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Structural analysis has also been carried out on this compound using mass spectrometry.
