Informations sur le produit
[2-(Trimethylsilyl)ethynyl]boronic acid is a zirconium compound that can be used as a metallocene. It is synthesized by reacting zirconium dichloride with ethynyl boronic acid. This reagent is also used in the synthesis of indenes, which are heterocycles with two double bonds. The dehydration of ethynyl boronic acid in the presence of a dehydrating agent such as phosphoryl chloride or phosphorus pentoxide provides the desired product. The carbonyl group in this reagent can be converted to the corresponding trimethylsilyl ether by treatment with trimethylsilyl chloride and triethylamine. Finally, the trimethylsilyl ether can be cleaved by hydrolysis to yield the desired alcohol.
