Description :
(S)-5-(4-(Benzyloxy)butyl)morpholin-3-one is a potent inhibitor of protein interactions. It can be used as a research tool to study the interactions between peptides and proteins, and as an antagonist of ion channels. This drug has been used to study the interaction between HIV-1 Tat protein and its receptor in order to develop antibody therapy against HIV infection. (S)-5-(4-(Benzyloxy)butyl)morpholin-3-one may also have therapeutic potential in the treatment of cancer because it inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells.
