Description :Perfluorohexadecanoic acid is a perfluorinated fatty acid that is used as a diagnostic agent for the detection of human serum albumin. This molecule has been shown to bind with protease activity, which then causes the release of fluorescence. Perfluorohexadecanoic acid also has a hydrogen bond with fatty acids and an aromatic hydrocarbon, which allows it to act as a molecular docking agent in vitro. In addition, this molecule interacts with the carbonyl group and alkylthio group by forming hydrogen bonds.
