Informations sur le produit
5-Iodoquinolin-8-amine is a fluorescent probe that can be used to measure the pH of a solution. It has been shown to have ratiometric and fluorescent properties. The fluorescence of 5-Iodoquinolin-8-amine shifts in wavelength as the pH changes, with a maximum shift of about 10 nm at pH 3.5 and about 20 nm at pH 10.5. This shift can be measured using a spectrophotometer or fluorimeter, and the data can be used to construct a two dimensional image of the solution's pH distribution with an imaging system such as confocal laser scanning microscopy or dark field microscopy.
