Description

Paroxetine mesylate is a pharmaceutical drug that belongs to the class of serotonin reuptake inhibitors and is used for the treatment of depression. Paroxetine mesylate inhibits serotonin reuptake in the brain, which leads to increased concentrations of 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin). This drug also has been found effective against cancer, particularly when combined with other drugs. Paroxetine mesylate has been shown to be effective in treating women who are experiencing symptoms of menopause. This drug has also been studied for its potential use in treating Alzheimer's disease and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
