Description

(3S,4S)-Tofacitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that is used to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases. This drug binds to the enzyme deoxycytidine kinase, which is an important enzyme in DNA synthesis. Tofacitinib citrate is a prodrug that is converted into the active form of the drug in vivo by esterases. (3S,4S)-Tofacitinib has been shown to induce pluripotent stem cells from human bone marrow and has demonstrated efficacy in treating alopecia areata in animal models.
