Description

Lutetium acetate hydrate is a chemical compound that is synthesized by mixing lutetium oxide and acetic acid. It has optical properties similar to those of selenium compounds, which are used in the manufacture of optical devices, such as lenses and mirrors. Lutetium acetate hydrate has been shown to be activated by ultraviolet radiation, with a maximum emission at about 350 nm.
